Overview
An old fisherman from Dinghai has loved the local puppet opera all his life. After his wife dies he insists on holding a traditional opera performance in her memory, and presses his grandson to bring the fifth-generation master of the form to the island. The two clash again and again before the young man finally gives in — but on the last day of the performance, something goes wrong.
