Justice to Insult
Overview
In a nearly empty jury courtroom, a Black man awaits a trial. Another stranger, who is missing a leg, arrives and, after being offered a seat, asks to be insulted. His request disrupts the conventions of an apparently ordinary situation, setting in motion a confrontation in which dignity, offense, and the limits of social interaction take on absurd dimensions.
