Overview
After seeing a tragic romance at the cinema, Marie and Adam walk home through the streets of Brussels. While Adam is deeply moved by the film, Marie remains unconvinced. Their opposing reactions soon become a conversation about their own relationship, revealing the growing distance between them: Adam, emotionally adrift, retreats into fictional worlds, while Marie longs for the passion they once shared. By the end of the night, they will each stage a dramatic gesture in an attempt to rekindle their relationship. But when the performances are over, the question that has haunted them all evening remains: can a love shaped by cinema survive the realities of everyday life?
